See shipping detailsLouisiana-inspired fish seasoning with paprika, garlic, pepper and herbs.
Flavor & cooking character
Garlicky, peppery, herbaceous and moderately spicy.
Seafood can be delicate, so a thin coating is usually a better starting point than a heavy crust. The blend also works on potatoes served alongside fish. Keep lemon and hot sauce optional until you have tasted the pepper and herbs in the finished dish.
What to cook
Fish fillets, shrimp, crab cakes, fries, corn and roasted vegetables.
How much to use & when to add it
1 teaspoon per pound of food.
Use this amount as a starting point for flavor, then adjust to your food and taste. If other ingredients bring salt, sweetness or heat, account for those before adding more seasoning.
Kitchen idea: Louisiana potato side
Toss 1 pound small potato pieces with oil and 1 teaspoon seasoning. Roast at 425°F until browned and tender. Finish with scallion and a little lemon, and serve as a seasoned side to simply prepared seafood or beans.
