Honey Powder

A dry honey ingredient is useful where liquid honey would make a coating sticky. Carriers and sweetness vary by supplier, so it is not automatically a spoon-for-spoon replacement for honey in baking or a claim of pure honey content.

Hot-honey seasoning, barbecue rubs, tea, baking, popcorn, marinades and sweet-savory blends.

Start with 1 teaspoon per cup of dip or a light dusting over a finished snack.

Mix with the other dry ingredients before applying; avoid a heavy coating over direct flame.

Use this amount as a starting point for flavor, then adjust to your food and taste. If other ingredients bring salt, sweetness or heat, account for those before adding more seasoning.
