How much to use

Start with 1 teaspoon per 4 cups of popcorn or 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup of sauce. Toss dry snacks in stages over a light coating of fat; whisk gradually into a warm sauce.

Kitchen idea: Three-cheese popcorn

Pop 8 cups of corn, toss with 1 tablespoon melted butter, then shake on 1 teaspoon Cheddar, 1 teaspoon White Cheddar and 1/2 teaspoon Parmesan. Taste before adding salt.
