See shipping detailsSicilian-inspired garlic, herb and chile seasoning for olive oil dipping, bread and roasted vegetables.
Flavor & cooking character
Garlicky, herbaceous, savory and gently spicy.
A dipping blend needs time for dried herbs and garlic to soften. Add a little water as well as oil rather than expecting oil alone to hydrate every piece. Make the portion for the meal and refrigerate leftovers promptly instead of keeping a homemade infusion on the counter.
What to cook
Olive oil dips, focaccia, pasta, roasted vegetables and marinades.
How much to use & when to add it
1 teaspoon per 2 tablespoons oil, with a little water to hydrate.
Use this amount as a starting point for flavor, then adjust to your food and taste. If other ingredients bring salt, sweetness or heat, account for those before adding more seasoning.
Kitchen idea: Sicilian-style dipping plate
Mix 1 teaspoon seasoning with 1 teaspoon water, rest briefly, then stir in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Taste and add a little lemon if desired. Serve immediately with bread and sliced tomatoes; keep the seasoning layer light.
