Flavor & cooking character
Fragrant, warm, herbaceous and bright.
A seafood seasoning should support the fish rather than bury it. Apply lightly and judge the result before adding lemon, salt or a rich sauce. The same herb-and-citrus profile works on the potatoes or vegetables alongside a simply cooked main dish.
What to cook
Salmon, halibut, trout, shrimp, mussels, crab, chowders, risotto, breading, chicken, pork, vegetables and vinaigrettes.
How much to use & when to add it
1 teaspoon per pound of food.
Use this amount as a starting point for flavor, then adjust to your food and taste. If other ingredients bring salt, sweetness or heat, account for those before adding more seasoning.
Kitchen idea: Northwest potato and green bean side
Toss warm cooked potatoes and green beans with olive oil and 1 teaspoon seasoning per pound of vegetables. Let the herbs soften briefly, then finish with lemon. Serve warm and taste before adding extra salt.
Ingredients & allergens
Garlic, onion, paprika, black pepper, dill, celery, parsley, sea salt, lemon.
