See shipping detailsCitrusy, sour-sweet seasoning with ginger, hibiscus, lime and gentle chile warmth.
Flavor & cooking character
Citrusy, sour and sweet with a touch of heat.
Hibiscus and lime can give strong tartness, while ginger adds a different kind of warmth from chile. Use a small dose in a moist base and taste before adding lemon or vinegar. Its beverage-friendly profile can also work in a light vegetable glaze.
What to cook
Cocktails, mocktails, lemonade, jams, dressings, marinades, glazes, chicken, fish, pork, tofu and roasted vegetables.
How much to use & when to add it
1/2 teaspoon per two servings to begin.
Use this amount as a starting point for flavor, then adjust to your food and taste. If other ingredients bring salt, sweetness or heat, account for those before adding more seasoning.
Kitchen idea: Hibiscus ginger carrots
Roast carrot pieces until nearly tender. Mix 1/2 teaspoon seasoning with 1 tablespoon water and a little oil, toss with two servings of carrots, and return briefly to the oven. Taste before adding sweetener or extra acid.
Ingredients & allergens
Ginger, honey (cane sugar, honey), kosher salt, hibiscus, coriander, lime (rice maltodextrin, lime juice concentrate), guajillo.
